<div itemprop="description">Grantley Herbert Lorde was born on May 11, 1940 in St. Philip, Barbados West Indies to the late Christopher and Miriam Lorde. Grantley joined our heavenly father on Monday, September 19, 2016 and is survived by his wife Jean Lorde and his brothers Edison & Keith Braithwaite, Andrew and Courtneay Lorde and his sister Joan Coty. <br> <br>He grew up in St. George parish and attended St. George Boy’s School and St. George Parish church. He later moved to London, England and worked for the London Transport for several years. <br> <br>In 1967, Grantley moved and settled in Canada where he met his lovely wife of 46 years, Jean Lorde. <br> <br>Grantley had a love for carpentry and woodwork and he also worked at the Post Office for several years before retirement. He also had a love for music (Reggae and Calypso) and he had a fervent love for baseball and his Toronto Bluejays. He and Jean loved to travel and often ventured on several road trips through out Canada and the United States. <br> <br>Grantley and Jean shared a wonderful life until he passed away leaving his family. <br>&nbsp; <br>Uncle of Pat, Colin, Claremont, Maxine, Diane and Angela of (UK), Wendy (Canada), Yvonne, Maria (Barbados), Sharon, Tiffany, Eugene Jr. (US) <br>&nbsp; <br>Cousin of many <br>&nbsp; <br>Brother -in -law of Eugene Coty, Phyllis Bruce, Cher Brathwaite and Marva Lorde. <br>&nbsp; <br>Relative of &nbsp;Taylor, Payne and Brathwaite family. <br>&nbsp; <br>&nbsp; <br> <br></div>
