<div itemprop="description">Veronica Welsh, affectionately known to some as V, Vern or Verna, 42, of New York City, passed away on August 22, 2015 at Scarborough General Hospital in Toronto, Canada after fighting hard against an infection that caused organ failure. <br /> <br />Visitation and funeral service information is below. <br /> <br />Veronica was born in Manhattan, NY, to Hector and Maria DelValle on May 21 1973. She went to high school at Robert Morgan and graduated in 1991. She worked as a manager for Skechers and Burlington Coat Company before making the the move up to Toronto. <br /> <br />Veronica is preceded in death by her Father, Hector Del Valle. <br /> <br />Veronica is survived by her husband Andrew Welsh, children Donavan and Persephanie, her Mother Maria Del Valle, and Brothers Jose Vazquez, Wilfredo Vazquez, and Sisters Sonia Vazquez and Kelly Del Valle from New York, Miami and Puerto Rico. The great grand parents of the children, Gordon and Madeline Mae Marks and grandmother Sherry Cortes. Veronica also left behind her Father and Mother in-laws Peter and Liz Welsh as well as her brother in-law Colin, niece Alexis Welsh and son-in-law Liam. <br /> <br />Veronica enjoyed ever so much going to gatherings with her extended family, loved the beach, music lifted her soul and could often be heard singing along, and she enjoyed good food and cooking. She stood up for what she thought was right and was not afaid to speak her mind. Veronica had a wonderful connection with children. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, Veronica's wishes are that you consider performing a Random Act of Kindness, something that will brighten someone else's day. You will know what feels right for you.
