關周少珍太夫人 Siu Chun Kwan
September 6, 1930 - July 27, 2015
Siu Chun Kwan, 84, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2015, at the Mackenzie Health Hospital in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
She was born on September 6, 1930, in Guangdong, China to Wah Chow and Foon Yong Au-Yeung.
She will be remembered for her exceptional culinary skills, and her sewing and knitting talents. Above all, she will always be remembered as a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother who selflessly devoted herself to raising her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children Francis, Veronica, Stephen, and Daphne; and her grandchildren Edmund, Joanne, Anita, Timothy, and Terrence.
She was preceded in death by her husband Che Kin.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Mon Sheong Long Term Care Centre in Richmond Hill for everything they do everyday, and for the excellent and attentive care they provided to Siu Chun.
Siu Chun's sunny smile and hearty chuckle will be greatly missed. Her final teaching, which is as follows, will always remain in the hearts of her family:
"人歲百年應盡孝.
樹高千丈不離根,
兄弟姊妹本是同根生."
--媽字
"One who lives to a hundred years must still fulfill their filial responsibilities.
A tree can only grow a thousand feet tall if it is nourished by its roots,
Siblings, who are the family's sprawling branches, all have the same roots."
