<div itemprop="description">Died peacefully at True Davidson Acres, Toronto, surrounded by his wife Giuseppina (nee Frasca) of over 67 years, and his daughters Maria and Lina. Rosario was 92 years old. <br> <br>Rosario was born in Modica, Sicily, Italy but lived in Pachino, Sicily from age 5 to 33, when he immigrated to Toronto, Canada. He worked at Primeau Argo Block and entered the real estate field and worked at Snelgrove Real Estate and R. Morra Real Estate for over 15 years. He volunteered at Association of Pensioners and Injured Workers of Ontario (APIO) assisting mainly the Italian community for over 20 years. This work required his interaction with all levels of government from municipal to federal, including the Italian Consulate and Patronato. He was elected President of this Association and continued in this work until his retirement in his early 70s. <br> <br>Rosario was known as a loving, kind and compassionate man by his family, friends and associates. He enjoyed poetry, opera and story telling. He also enjoyed playing and spending time with his grandchildren as they were growing up. <br> <br>He was a devoted father to Lina (Carmine) and Maria (Domenico) and devoted "nonno" to his grandchildren Francesco (Amanda), Carlo (Fiorella), Marco (Leonora) and Rosaria (Alessandro) and his great grandchildren: Daniel, Emma, Nicolas, Sergio, Lia, Cristian, and Gianmarco. <br> <br>Rosario was predeceased by his beloved parents Orazio and Raffaela and his brother Giuseppe "Peppino" the (late Concettina.) He is survived by his sisters Carmela "Melina" (Corrado) and Angelina (Concetto) and his many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and Germany. <br>He will be dearly missed by his family, many friends and relatives in Italy, Germany, and Australia. <br> <br>The family wishes to thank the staff at TDA, 2 E. and especially the nursing staff Irina and Boysin, who supported us during this difficult time. The family also wishes to thank Dr. A. Aziz, family physician, for his exceptional care for 35 years. <br> <br></div>
