Tso Ke Ho, age 84, passed away at 12:40 am April 17th, 2015 at Markham Stouffville Hospital after a long battle with Alzheimer's where she was surrounded by her loved ones.

She was predeceased by her husband, Yook Shee Wong.

Tso Ke Ho was born in Chauk, Burma but spent most of her youth in China and Hong Kong. At the age of 24 she moved back to Burma where she met and married her late husband. That's where she started her family and raised her children. In 1980, she moved to Canada where she spent the rest of her life.

When she arrived, she worked at ViewStar for 5 years before she retired. After that she spent most of her time taking care of her grandchildren; Roland and Rita.

In 2003, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Tso Ke Ho was being taken care of by her daughter, Shu Kun, until the disease got to the point where assisted aid was needed. She went into Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care where she spent the remaining years of her life. While she was staying at Yee Hong, a couple of family friends, Mary Huang and Emma Aung, spent countless hours taking care of her alongside her daughter.

During her time at the Centre she became a favourite of many nurses and PSWs. She would often greet them with an infectious smile and also offer them verbal blessings. She would also joke with them and ask them many questions. Tso Ke Ho was known for her curiousity and her witty humour. There were many times where the staff would come and visit her even when they were not working her floor.

She lived a long and fulfilled life and will be dearly missed by her 4 sons (and their spouses), 3 daughters (and their spouses), 9 grandsons, 9 granddaughters, 4 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters, and many friends.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care, the staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital, and many friends for their outstanding care of Tso Ke Ho in the last years of her life.
