<div itemprop="description"><br />RENDA, Joseph <br />We are sad to announce the passing of Giuseppe &ldquo;Joseph&rdquo; Renda, who was born August 10, 1928 in Vita, Pr. Trapani, Sicily and died peacefully, on April 30, 2014, at North York General Hospital. Beloved husband and best friend of Paola (nee Ponzo) for 60 years. Loving Father of Catherine Renda- Moore (Jerry) and Joanne Kastias (Tom). Cherished Nonno of Maria, Paulina and Peter. Remembered by his brothers and sisters: Mario (Maria), Lorenzo (Rosa), Maria Stellino (the late Ignazio), Pina Napoli (Enrico), Nina Brancato (Rocco), Croce Paladino (Franco), Josie Paladino (Phil), Anna Micieli (Sam), sister-in-law Giuseppa and the late Sam. Dear brother-in-law of Antonietta (Cristofaro) Ditta, Maria (the late Michele) Rizzo, Lina (Franco) Barbera and Vito (Jay) Ponzo. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will be remembered for his strong faith, passion for cooking, gardening and entertaining. Friends will be received at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East (at Warden Ave), 416-773-0933, from 5-9 p.m. Saturday and 4-8 p.m. Sunday. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 21 Leith Hill Road, on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph&rsquo;s memory to St. Timothy&rsquo;s Church Building Fund Campaign or Toronto General Hospital - Peter Munk Cardiac Centre.
