<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Vasilios Lovatsis announces his passing after a long illness on July 17th, 2014 with his family by his side. He leaves behind his devoted and beloved wife Vasiliki (Tsatsos), married for 57 years and together for over 60 years. Devoted and loving father to John and daughter in-law Ann Marie, daughter Toula and son in-law Bill Yiouroukis. Cherished Papou to Stephanie, Victoria and William. He will be missed by his sister Milka Unitas, dear brother in-law to John and Diane Tsatsos. Pre-deceased by his parents Ioannis and Theodora Lovatsis, beloved mother in law Olympia Tsatsos, brother Traikos Lovatsis, Eleni &amp; Dimitri Osenaris and Gord Unitas. Will be forever missed by all of his nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Vasilios was born on August 15, 1932 in Kranonia, Kastoria - Greece and immigrated to Canada in 1957. Family and friends will be received at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East (West of Warden Ave.) 416-773-0933 on Saturday July 19th and Sunday July 20th from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday July 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Drive. Interment will follow at Pine Hills cemetery. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.</div>
